It's been so long since I've bought a hand guard that I don't know what's the best option. I have a DD upper with a 16" barrel. The hand guard that came with it is 15" at the top, sloping to 15.5" at the bottom. Very little room for working with muzzle brakes, suppressors, etc. I'm wanting to put a Riflespeed adjustable gas system on it, but the existing handguard leaves almost no room. It appears Riflespeed installs 13.7" rails on their 16" uppers. Is this a common length for the modern, suppressed AR? Any recommendations on a quality M-lok rail that won't break the bank. I don't really want to spend Geissele prices Thx! |

MI Combat Rails can be had for sub $150 on sales. BCM MCMR around the same price. If you're not super demanding and picky, you can get house brands from BKF or AR15Discounts.com for well under 3 digits. Oh, and check the EE for used stuff. |
