Ordered a gas block. Installed the block and staked the screws. The gas tube pin pushes right through the block. It was drilled too large. Yes I used a new pin. Only thing holding it is the gas tube. I want to order the next size up. Anyone know a source for pins? |

Are you sure it is a 5/64" pin and not a 1/16"? A bigger pin than the size range a 5/64" is made will likely not fit through the hole in the gas tube. Here's a link to slotted pin measurements and info https://www.spirol.com/assets/files/sltp-slotted-spring-pin-design-guide-us.pdf I think the hole for the gas tube pin in a gas tube ranges from .078" to .081". |

I want to order the next size up. Anyone know a source for pins? If you have already used a caliper/micrometer to measure the roll pin that you have and you are certain of the size you need, you will likely find it at McMaster-Carr. Shipping is very reasonable and fast. |

| Need help with my ar 15 jamming shell chase is always getting caught on dust cover doesnt eject but does cycle next round bolt come foward all the way i changed my buffer spring and weight nothing but my gas block line is a little loose but ive heard that aluminum gas block arent good is it my gas tube roll pin gas block or gas line that is the problem any help? I have a ratical firearm not sure if they come with steel or aluminum gas blocks?. |
