Still in progress but this has become my cliche 50 shades of FDE build... all the parts I ended up with were black... so I painted them with Brownell's Aluma-hyde. And no I don't like cerakote, I've never found it to be durable enough. ADM Lower in Coyote which is by far the most matte/flat BCM Upper in Matte Earth Brown with an extra coat of matte clear enamel SOLGW M89 with 'Magpul FDE' which is just about flat enough...

WAY too much $$$, but it is what it is. Fuck it. I've whittled down my AR collection to 3, and they're all registered SBR's. Well, now we're at 3.5 (this one had an FDE Cerakote lower, so now that's a spare.) Carry on! Edit: Well, smartass that I am.. I just tried it. Yup, balances on the can too! Ha!!

The rail section is short and how the mount on that MFAL works, there’s not a ton of engagement with the picatinny opposite the clamping mechanism. It’s already been swapped out for a Jagerwerks A1 mount with the laser mount attachment. @emtothedee |

@1iviper Got bored tonight Have had the parts in a box since march and siad wth My unadopted kittens from 2021 supervised Attached File Attached File Aero fde lower. 110.00 Bcm fde kiddy upper with free bcg 735.00 Magpul stock 30.00 Magpul buis 3rd gen 65.00 Bcm grip 15.00 Bcm trigger guard 5.00 Spikes lpk kit 90.00 A few fde rear plate and buffer tube collar and take down pins Extra buffer tube and spring and h2 buffer I've had in a bag for years just waiting to be used on a build Still need to install magpul fde ejection port cover and waiting for rearden spb high temp brake to arrive Want a fde lpvo scope ( not the sig tango - my eyes don't need all that clutter ) or fde holo sight maybe? Then go out back when I get home and test it out Have a silencerco hybrid 46 fde I'm waiting on since febuary Not sold on the stock but will see I already have another fde build so no more fde for now I'll take a few pics outside when no ones around in the backyard And no cats . God they're nosey |
