| So I recently just finished my first build. A 300Black ARP. I’ve cycled maybe 8 rounds and I have had 3 striked misfires. I put a can on this build and was testing different ammos (total of 4), this is my first firearm chambered in 300 and I can’t remember any of my other guns having a single dud round so I’m wondering is this normal (probably not) or did I mess something up in my build? The rounds I used with duds were scorpion (17.99 for 20 rounds so this one makes sense), Barnes Suppressor Series, and Winchester Super Suppressed. Planning on taking to a gunsmith but just wondering if any thing I can do myself first. |

I had an issue with hard primers on Russian ammo. Someone suggested trying the 7.62x 39 firing pin. It solved things for that rifle. I am wondering if the firing pin channel in your bolt carrier has any residue in it and needs cleaning. Or it was machined a bit short. I am out of ideas. |

The first one I assembled was in the late 80's. No info, I just went for it. I installed the hammer spring backwards. AND put the selector spring where the pivot spring, went. The rifle had a nice trigger pull. But the pivot wouldn't allow the pin to be retracted. That was about 25 AR's ago. I'm better now Attached File |

| Upon looking at fired and misfired rounds, there is definitely a considerable strike difference. I have ordered a 7.62 firing pin and will try my other AR upper (a 5.56) to double check the trigger box. Thanks for all the hot takes and will update when I get a chance to try out. |
