Anyone have any feedback on these FUSE mounts? https://scalarworks.com/shop/bolt-on-mounts/fuse-02/  I have had great experiences with their red dot mounts and I exclusively run their iron sights. I avoided the LEAP scope mounts due to the issues around the rings cracking at the hinge. Curious to see feedback on these though, they appear to be a solid option. .jpg)

Huh… I’ve obviously been out of the loop on this one. LEAP mounts cracking at the hinge? I think I have 2 laying around somewhere. The big question is, “How has Scalarworks been handling it?” This is the reason I completely swore off Bobro. Had several of their QD mounts that had the ‘broken stud’ issue that they KNEW about because it was widely discussed/mentioned/complained about. I ALWAYS used a NIST calibrated CDI torque driver for installation. Bobro CS basically told me, “We believe you overtorqued them. No free repairs or replacements. Tough shit. Fuck off”. |

My expectation is that its a perfectly usable, quality mount. But, well see. I did order one anyway to try out. The no gap seems like a clever way to avoid scopes rotating during leveling. On the topic of leveling, I dont like the level drive...its a decent solution but the reality is that many reticles are not square to the bottom of the scope body. Yes, at this point its become a pretty well documented issue that the LEAP scope mounts Crack at the hinge. Jury is out on how many of those users did not torque to spec, but from what i read at least SW hasn't been leaving people out to dry and has taken care of those with issues. I am a fan of Scalarworks, like I said I have had nothing but good experiences with their red dot mounts and irons. |

Mine wouldn’t sit level on any receiver I tried (KAC, Geissele and SOLGW), making the leveling screw useless. The receiver lug also didn’t make contact with the receiver, so the only point of contact with the pic slots was the rounded cross bolts. Probably fine, but I prefer to have a flat lug making contact. This was an early model, so who knows if they fixed the issues. Sent it back and stuck with known performers (badger). Here it is mounted on my MRGG. I checked the handguard and ensured it was level relative to the upper receiver, so the issue you're seeing is 100% *NOT* a canted handguard: Attached File Attached File Repeated the same test with an SOLGW L89 handguard, same results. |

I decided the absolutely perfect AUS I have sitting around makes more sense all things considered.. I want it to be a winner too. But, I will let someone else figure it out first. |
