Looking for some recommendations on mag carriers. Something like a small sling pouch that's not too bulky, maybe enough room for 2 rifle mags and an extra pistol mag. Or possibly something where I can attach an extra mag to the sling or stock. Mag couplers are just a little too bulky for my taste and throw off the balance for me. Products or pictures are appreciated. |

I have been playing with a copy of the Spiritus JSTA pouch. Holds one 30 rd AR Mag and one pistol mag. The front pouch holds a small IFAK, flashlight, with room for extra AR/pistol mag, etc. I added a strap attached to the Molle using gate clips. Midwest Armor make a GP Double Mag Pouch like the JSTA you could add a strap to also. |

There are lots of different bandolier options. Off the top of my head, Arms Unlimited has a decent and inexpensive one that holds 4 rifle mags and 2 pistol mags. | I like to take USGI 3 mag shingles and stick them together. Add some 550 cord loops on each side and you can hook a shoulder strap onto it. I just snagged a 6 pack of ACU shingles for $14 shipped off eBay. That's enough to make 3 6 mag bandoliers that are nicer than the USGI ones that barely fit a PMAG. |

You can't close the flaps with PMAGs in them (I haven't tried Lancers). Of course, you could put one PMAG in each and snap the flaps closed. |

I have a couple of those. They just hang from the shoulder and don't secure to anything but they're nice to have to "grab and go" and they have snaps to attach them to other stuff.
