Who's using this combo and what is your experience? I have two PA 1x slx microprisms I've been running for several years now and I like them, but it's time to add some magnification and I've experimented enough with LPVOs to conclude they don't match my style. I've shot my friend's Eotech xps3 and G33 combo, and i love it, but I like the crispness of the prism reticle more than the Eotech reticle for everything beyond 50 yards. Also considering getting the PA glx 1x to pair with an Eotech magnifier. (I know I could get cheaper magnifiers, but I've shot the Eotech magnifier enough to feel very confident in it) |

I tried this for a while and thought I had it figured out. I was really psyched because I have an astigmatism and preferred the etched reticle of a prism. Then I discovered there is a POI shift between magnified and not magnified with a prism. How much depends on your set-up. Some may get lucky or it's not enough to notice. But I could never get the shift to be less than 1" at 100 yards. Switched back to a red dot and POI shift went away entirely. YMMV |

I seem to remember hearing something about that, and I may end up biting the bullet and just going with an Eotech plus magnifier for my 13.9" rifle. Almost all of my shooting scenarios outside the range would be under 250 yards, so the fuzzy Eotech reticle isn't a dealbreaker. |
