Are these somewhat usable without armor? I've ended up with an ACE entry-length skeleton stock that I'm thinking about using on a 12.5" SBR. I have a 1" butt pad so I can play with the length a little. Use will be as a house and sometime truck gun. 6 foot tall, average length arms, don't shoot NTCH. I frequently shoot with A1 fixed stocks and carbine stocks about half-way out. So, are the entry stocks too awkward without armor? Anyone have experience with these? |

They just look cool. A fully collapsed carbine stock is just about the same length. I wasn't a fan either, I sold mine. I wanted to make a "Mini 16" with a 16" Midlength FSB Upper. The novelty kinda wore off. Not mine, but this is what I mean by "Mini 16"

There used to be a 1" spacer that installed between the front of the stock and lower. Some of them had added qd sling mounts as well. That was a popular combo as the extra inch really helped get the stock into a more usable length. I forget which fell out of the market first but once one of them wasn't available, the demand for the other dried up. With 3D printing being popular now, I'm sure someone could make a new version of the spacer to get a similar effect. Example https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1003223094? |

I like the one i have on a 16" 6920 upper I've always preferred stocks on the shorter side. A more vertical grip helps me a lot with wrist angle and comfort. Note: if you rattlecan the buffer tube, the foam sleeve is not sliding back on willingly

Is this the right place to ask about the KAK mini milspec buffer tube? Was thinking it might help a 6" 300blk be more bagable without attempting a law folder. Does any one know if the reliability is good or not? |
