Easiest way to remove the blue crust

One of my suppressor flash hiders that was on a beater gun is pretty well coated with the blue tinted carbon. What's the easiest way to remove it without removing the finish? I have it soaking in oil now.

Guess I should have said easy and cheap way. If I can't find a cheap way, I'll try that stuff out.

It's copper not carbon, right?
Toothbrush or stainless toothbrush with copper solvent?

I have the same on my flash hider mounts more than my brake for some reason, but usually just use any bore solvent and a toothbrush/wire brush
