| Soo I bought a G36 .22 from PSA on a Labor Day sale for $299. I bought the Duality Arms FRT. The part(s) is just a lighter trigger spring and a 3d printed part and it slightly more involved than a SS or a TX22 FRT to install. What I don't really under stand and the company hasn't explained to me (when directly asked) is why do you need to remove the extractor/spring/detent. It works reasonably well for a rimfire, but about once a mag you either get a dead trigger with a live round or a type of double feed. I'm not exactly sure what's going on but I can't help but think that the lack of extractor has something to do with it. |

I had no idea there was an FRT for the 22 HK G36. 22s are direct blowback and do not technically need an exractor to pull the case out when firing - but it helps for unloading a chamber, stuck case and more reliability. A guess is I seem to recall for 22s with really high rates of fire, the extractors might break or not cycle mechanically as fast as the action might work and handle a case expanding while its partially open in fast firing. 22 FRT fast firing seem to be always centering around reliability of the ammunition itself (22 rimfire isn't mechanically ideal for auto feeding) - and bolt bounce. Try some different ammo - I'd be interested to see if you find some more reliability. Someone out there needs to re-design 22s at the point of manufacture for faster action speed and bolt bounce - like some mild form of delayed Blowback with a spring loaded ball bearing in a bolt locking into a detent in the receiver - holding it closed or? |
