How does the drop in kabuto compare to the super safety? Is it as reliable? Any known issues? I want to try one but I don't want something inferrior to what I already have... Prefered supplier? Any to avoid? |

The super safety style forced reset selectors are simply better in terms of performance than anything out there right now, they have more leverage over the trigger, work with more FCGs, they don't have all sorts of weird tolerance issues with fitment in the lower since they just use the selector hole, also of course they have a fully disengaged semi mode. Then you got the Raregreed or partisan which mainly focuses on being dropped in and they both do a really good job at being drop in tho they fall short in other areas that the super safety excels at so it ends up being a trade off there. Then you got these half drop in designs like the kabuto that don't drop in anywhere near as well as the partisan and also don't perform anywhere near as well as the super safety while also costing about the same price for a full metal version so they're kinda left being MID at both. |

Well that makes me not want to try it as much... the idea of swapping them in and out while keeping a 3 position safety in multiple guns was appealing. I have 2 arc fires coming right now. If I like them.I may get a few more. I just wish there was a cheaper option (i have alot of guns to put them in) I love the supersafety and have a bunch of them, but they are easy to bump off of safe when carrying slung with gear... |

I run the super safety’s in two of my rifles and they have both been working great for the last year. They are simple and work. Don’t care for the push type safety but I can get use to it. My target gun is regular mil spec safety and trigger. The ss are on the fun guns. |

All right, I'm looking at this style now, because I want to make my FRT guide as complete as possible. I bought two, one all steel from Dogwood Armory, and one larger, polymer framed one that fills up the lower receiver trigger pocket. I'm using a Datum Machine selector.  " />I've dry racked it a number of times, and it wedges itself at the rear occasionally. When live firing it, the BCG occasionally stuck back while the trigger was pressed back, and slammed forward when I released the trigger. This was just in semi auto mode, I didn't proceed to the third position. I'm assuming I just need to trim the bottom of the actuating leg? As for the all steel one, is it the same thing as the BS Squirts FRT? I had bursts in semi auto mode with that thing, and from what I've read, the solution to that is also to file the bottom of the actuating leg. |
