If not directly drop in, can it be made to? I assume the bolt’s autosear trip surface would need cut to M16 dimension. I feel like a 10-12” FRT .308 pistol would be cool. |

Don't know about that, but are they still making the trigger? Rare Breed received a cease and desist from the ATF back in July. As I understand it, they never got their design "approved" by the ATF and when they found out about it, well, now they're all over them. I was on the verge of getting one and didn't. I do know a couple people who got one and neither one would run worth a hoot in a 5.56 AR, one even broke. It seems they were becoming popular for 9mm based AR's though (but that's a blow back design). |

Yeah, I wouldn't be a fan of running one in a blowback specifically because of OOB Kabooms. I know Garrow arms recently released a 17 HMR upper for the AR and they are supposed to be releasing a gas operated 9mm upper too. I emailed them and got an email back from the owner. He said the prototype 9mm upper is running great and they hope to get it to market soon, but they are slammed trying to keep up with orders for the 17 HMR upper. I think the trigger, because of it's design, is sensitive to the rate the action cycles, at least in "regular" gas operated AR receivers. It seems to prefer a slower rate. Apparently, from what I've seen, the CMMG radially delayed blowback 9mm's seem to work well (lots of vids of it running smoothly): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsBkZa8r61E I suspect it's like anything else in an AR, it might require some tweaking and specific set ups to run well. Either way, I'd love a suppressed Banshee with the trigger. "But, subsonic 9mm has pitiful terminal ballistics"...yeah, well, not so much when you draw smiley faces on their chest with 30+ rounds in 1.2 secs....I like to think if it as the "Swiss Cheese Effect".... |

If the trigger is being reset, then it is one round per trigger pull. The fact the design assists that operation is irrelevant. If the ATF deems it a machine gun anyway, then that would have to mean any firearm designed to have a shorter trigger reset or a lightweight trigger could potentially meet that definition too (they do like ot use the word "intent" a lot as well) since the point is to be able to shoot quicker. Then, this starts leading into questions of "rate of fire"...how fast is too fast? What would the threshold be before it becomes a "machine gun"??? Completely silly speculation, but given the complete silliness of the ATF, the NFA and a lot of the crap definitions and rulings, I wouldn't put it past them. I have a Franklin BFSIII in my 300 Blk pistol, indeed it is fun. It takes a lot of will power not to rip mags with it  I just wish the dang ATF would get a move on with approving my suppressor. Going into month 5 on the wait. Sigh. In an odd twist of fate, the Brits, as restrictive as they are about firearms, sell the things right over the counter. Walk in, pay and walk out with a suppressor...they don't even put serial numbers on them over there. |

The authorities would like you to kill deer quietly as there are population concentrations all over. We were so close to a positive vote on it here and then Mandalay Bay happened and the Dem's went into full fear indoctrination mode. |
