hello, looking for an ar10 complete upper w/ "fixed" carry handle. i already have an Arma-10B but looking for a dpms type upper. PSA is a no-go as they are o.o.s. and no telling when they will be. are there any manufacturers besides PSA that make/build this type of ar10 upper? |

I don’t know where, but be aware the PSA uppers on a DPMS lower won’t be a great match. I was going the opposite direction on this DPMS, wanted a shorter, lighter flat top. PSA was honest and said it won’t be a good fit. I never pursued it further. There is no standard for these large frames like we get with AR15s. What make is the lower you want to mate the upper to? My limited research back when I was deep in DPMS(had 3 in .308) was find a dpms upper. Some brands might have matched takedown pin spots, but left a gap, or needed filed down. Food for thought, I sold a 16” complete.308 recently. 750 bucks. You may find a deal on a used dpms upper somewhere, if you don’t find a mate for that lower. I will say if you are thinking 20”, find one of these old LR308C uppers like mine. All I have done is a nice RRA match trigger in mine. Definitely the nicest shooting .308 I have, you have to have a detachable carry handle tho. Heavy for sure, probably why it shoots so smooth. I definitely need an optic to pick out the steel way up there, that 2x aimpoint barely works, unless they have fresh paint. Attached File |
