Can someone explain to me what SDM and UHG fluting is?

I can figure out spiral or straight, etc, but I can’t figure out what these acronyms mean

SDM Fluting is 12 straight flutes around the barrel behind the gas block in the style of the Squad Designated Marksman barrel.

UHG is "under the handguard".
Now with more political fatigue.
