| What Is the correct stock for a gwot m4? Just finished my clone build and it's a early gwot with the peq2 and a comp2. Is the waffle stock correct or would the n1 be? Keep finding different answers and pics. |

B5 makes a good repro of the N5 stock with their CAR15 stock. They also have the retro LS2 grip. The waffle stock has a specific cut to it so you want to make sure it is either a Colt or FN brand. The tell tale sign is that it will have a straight cut instead of a curve where the release is for the adjustment. For GWOT you probably want either the waffle or N5 stock. |

Early GWOT Pre 2002-2003 would most likely be N1 stock. Waffle was included with M4s ordered for conventional Army and Air Force during the war expansion contracts. We received our AF contract M4s in 2003 with waffle stocks. We had PAQ-4s. PEQ-2s were early too. Last AFG deployment in 2012-2013 I saw a mix of both stocks on conventional a d SF Army M4s. |
