Howdy folks. Does anyone have any experience with Cornfire Arsenal? I ran into their table at the Tulsa gunshow. Their products seem interesting, especially their new-ish Milspec Active Rest Conversion (MARC) selector. Supposed to be a drop in, no modifications required 3 position super safety, which sounds awesome. But I'm just here wondering, what's the catch? Blue Jean Operator has a video on their older super safety, but does anyone have any experience, or should I just bite the bullet and fork over the $200 and see if it works? EDIT 24APR26: Updated Thread title to help folks with the new website change. It's been a wild few months, eh folks? New Website EDIT 26APR26: Changed thread title slightly, to be "neutral" to both Cornfire (who still does not have a functioning website) and Copperhead. What's going on? Nobody knows! Yay, business drama magnified by the unknowns of the internet! Gotta love it! ![]() EDIT 10JUN26: Changed thread title again, since Corn Gun Works is now up and running, and people will be trying to figure out who is who. My current theory on page 10. |

Attached File It looks like an Atrius with a more traditional selector. |

They've been paying attention (line B) Product Features
Compared to other similar products on the market, the lever arm of the MARC is: A) Made of properly heat treated and nitride coated S7 tool steel. B) Proper dimensions on all interacting surfaces, most importantly to prevent binding on the trigger while the hammer is cocked farther back by the bolt. C) Edges are rounded to prevent crack formation. |

That sucks but it’s the price you pay I reckon. I’d like to get ahold of one and lay the calipers to it and verify. |

I guess I'll help answer my own question. It works! Longer tests, mag dumps, etc. In short, it more or less works as advertised, at least in mil-spec triggers. Put hundreds of rounds in it, and it worked in a few different uppers. Other than making my upper very dirty, I didn't notice any excess wear or damage to the selector when I cleaned it either. Only issues I ran into were with a Geissele trigger. With that guy, it bound up like crazy after a couple short bursts. I'm assuming that's because I don't have the over travel stop mentioned on the website. Shame I can't use it with my SSA, but I can tolerate that until I buy another selector with the stop. My father-in-law (firing the AR in the first video) is in love, and wants to buy two of them. Guess we're both waiting for them to come back in stock. As well as the ambi version. |

You can buy the (metal) G lever blockers from ASD, they also have the file available to print your own. https://activesafetydesigns.com/ar15/lever-blocker/ If these prove to work well with uncut G triggers I’m in for several instead of more Arc-Fires. |

| If it works with the Larue MBT 2 stage... man that's a game changer. A legitimate match grade trigger semi auto pull, and then FRT on command? And yes, that also applies to the Geisseles, depending on if they require some tuning. If this thing works with the Larue, drop in, it will take over the market. Even if you have to relieve the upper a little bit. |
| How are you all getting the discounted price on the MARC? I went to order one and have all but clicked “place order“ and it’s still showing $208 with shipping. |

Don’t know the discount just showed up, and I got the Geissele blocker thing. 🤷♂️ I tried it again and it’s not there nor the Geissele option. But I wouldn’t let 10 bucks stop me from ordering this. If as advertised, it’s as good as it may get. |

I received mine today and installed. 1) I like the traditional selector styling even thought it's gloss black. Paint will solve that. 2) Installed in a 2004 vintage Bushmaster A2 with M16 BCG. Lever shows the same binding and need for fitting as the Atirus (or Wise Arms version anyway) with the hammer fully depressed in the forced reset position. 3) Unlike the Atirus, there is binding with the upper installed and will actually lockup the bolt when manually cycling. No good. There is 0 trigger play with the bolt locked rearward. 4) Like the Atirus, a little filing on the left side of the trigger where the lever engages the trigger and the problem is solved. No more binding. I mean the amount removed is probably the same as a sheet of paper and over an area about 1/8 of an inch long, very little. Leaving the right side of the trigger intact keeps it just as drop safe with a regular safety as it was stock (case you want to switch back). 5) It was $20 less ($189 shipped) than other options and no tax and it shipped out fast. All in all, these type safeties are going to require minor fitting and are going to have the same issues/compatibilities as the other brands. I'll test fire it here in a day or two but so far this seems a good value. *note - I tested the Wise Arm's version with a Rock River Arms 2-stage and it truly dropped in. No binding, no fitting, even with the hammer fully pressed down; it cycles manually and resets. That might be an option for people that want a 2-stage if the MBT doesn't work. |

Still seems to be priced a little high considering all the trial and error and custom I fitting required, especially considering much of what dictates the price is R&D and not the cost of materials |

Is it even possible to make such a product, that works with a bunch of different triggers, uppers and lowers, that won't require a little "fitting" with certain customer hardware combinations? I imagine if you were making a 3 position FRT safety to work with a single spec of upper, lower, and trigger group, it would be possible to make it work every time. Or almost every time anyway. But so many hardware combinations might be a bridge too far, it seems to me. The Rarebreed worked more ubiquitously because it was self contained, I'm thinking. As to the price, yeah, it's probably a bit pricey for what you're getting I suppose. I'd be happier paying half as much for sure. But I bought one anyway. |

Considering how new the products are, potential legal headaches, and trying to cover operations costs and make a profit...it's not much different than the 1911, bolt gun, and even non standard issue Milspec AR products of the late 90's early 2000's. Plus factor in inflation. As time goes on the price and ease of fit will get worked out, but it's generally how gun parts go. |

Other firearms require real fitting; I'm thinking a 1911 or Garand. I figure a little filing and/or polishing is better than a $450 cartridge trigger pack or a $25,000 machine gun. Although $200, heck $100 for a SS, is a lot considering materials... what's the markup on bottle water, soda, etc? Free market and all that. I had 3 "mil spec" (only applies to M16s, meaningless term for a AR15) trigger brands: the Bushmasters, Colts, and S&W. The Colt and Bushmaster were very similar, the way they in closed the rear of the trigger and the hammer profile where the only differences I could spot. They worked identical. The S&W trigger was too wide and the hammer would not interchange with the other 2 brands. Little more context: With the tens/hundreds of thousands of cheap lowers, uppers, and BCGs in the wild that do not pass gauging (see School of the American Rifle on youtube) but run "good enough"... add in another part that, to work, must fit AND time with these out of spec parts... it's a miracle all you have to do is a little filing/polish. |

I’m actually really pleased with their ambi model and the styling of their levers, just need it to work with my preferred trigger. The majority of G$ triggers work, we're still testing a handful of models. The only models with issues so far to my knowledge are the SSAE and SSAE-X which need the tail end shaved down just a hair. We do highly recommend the overtravel stop with ALL G$ hammers, as you will have issues without it. If you ordered the MARC for a G$ and didn't check the box for the overtravel stop, we are more than happy to get one out to you. Reach out to our cs email with your order number and we can get one to you for like shipping cost. This is our first time here, I'm going to attempt to monitor the thread and answer what I can. |

| We have seen this issue with a range of milspec triggers. The next run has a slightly different lever, which we have modified to accommodate a wider range of milspec options. On my own rifles, one milspec trigger out of a parts box didn't work, and would not reset. I swapped with a Radical (lol) left over from a build and it dropped right in and test fired perfectly. We're trying to compile a list of which ones work, but truly need customer input to help us with finding the sweet spot. There are just too many out there with a range of tolerances, and we want the thing to be safe for you to have in your home. The new lever SHOULD work with a more comprehensive list of triggers. |

Great to see you representing your brand here! If your selector works as advertised, and you keep selling at this price, I think you will own the market going forward. My selectors should be here this week, depending on how the Thanksgiving shipping goes. All the best to you and yours! |

If it does come in, my plan would be to head to the local range on Tuesday with a variety of uppers and lowers — and some tools, so I can see what it likes and doesn't like. I'll also test it with a few buffer weights in carbine and A5 configurations. If all goes well, the plan is to have it ultimately live in a suppressed 11.5" 5.56 SBR with an A5 buffer, using an MBT trigger. ETA: optimistic that this will work as advertised. Looking forward to adding a couple more in the future. My only disappointment is that I will be losing all my 45° safeties. |
