I picked up a couple Colt HBAR’s today one I’m 80% is an original Delta Elite HBAR. It has the right A.R.M.S mount ,Colt sling, Delta emblems and the ghost of the cheek riser. The factory Tasco 3-9x40 can be found on EBay but the cheek riser seems to be the hardest to find.. Does anyone have a serial number range to confirm? You can get the ship date for your AR15 if you email the Colt Archive. They are very responsive. The serial number look up on Colts website doesn't seem to work for AR15s email address [email protected] They may also tell you if either was a Delta HBAR, but you may have to pay for a letter for that info. |

Haven't managed to find the correct mount, but have ended up with two correct Tasco scopes. I've got a cheek rest, but don't know if it's correct. I've got a mixtape 20" A2 that I've been thing into making a faux "Delta HBAR." |

6601 but set up with almost everything to include a Colt .22 conversion unit. Well made and very accurate. Colt was putting out very good barrels at the time. I paid $600 just a week or so before the 94 ban, the previous owners wife refused to let him have it. GS prefix SN. Attached File |

You did find two really nice rifles. I put together a mostly Colt Delta-ish several years ago. Found a scope, mount, and cheek-piece.  My scope mount and cheek piece are the no-logo versions. Look at local gun stores and shows with old guy's tables.

I have a Delta HBAR I picked up from the EE a while back. Prior to that I was well on my way to building a replica and had sourced the proper Colt marked cheek riser (there is a generic non-Colt marked one as well) the Colt marked leather sling, the proper scope mount, the proper scope though with the wrong rings. I ended up trading the parts once I got an actual one and seem to recall I even had an extra cheek riser I sold. Parts are out there you just have to keep an eye out and get lucky. Edit: just saw this thread in GD where a guy picked up a cheek riser at an auction. Don’t know if it’s colt marked or not but scroll down here |
