| What’s the word on these? How do they compare with DD and Geissele barrels? I’m looking at possible going with one of these for a 14.5 build… |

The Centurion enhanced socom barrel and the Geissele 14.5” heavy barrel have the same .076 gas port size and both have midlength gas and their weight is similar. I have both and they have performed well with my CRS PRT and 55 grain Federal TRU hollow points ( the only rifle ammo that I’ve had lately ). They are both getting moa out of the TRU and the stock Knight’s trigger and using a bipod on a bench and using the great for my old eyes NX8 4-32. |

Centurion is extremely good at barrels. This barrel is made by fn, and centurion ensures its up to their standards. Which is why they're hardly in stock. They only select the best Attached File |

OP: the 14.5 enhanced SOCOM is an absolute laser. I built out a full upper last year around this barrel with the E4 bolt and it's sub-MOA with 5-rd groups. Just over 1-MOA with 10-rds. AAC 77gr OTM gave the best groups, followed by Phantom Defense 77s with the same Hornady bullet. I'll be trying Bone Frog's match burners at some point this summer when it's not soggy in the fields.
