| I purchased a new BANSHEE, FE, Mk4, 9MM, 8"and acquired a Delta Technical FRT15-L3 trigger. Has anyone had success in running a banshee with this trigger? What modifications were necessary (buffer, spring, BCG weight changes)? |

Welcome to AR15. My 9mm Banshee has the CMMG trigger (an aftermarket) but the buffer and spring shouldn't be effected by the trigger. The best buffer/spring combo will depend on the ammo you use; I run Federal 147 FMJ/HST through mine, and the factory combination ran fine for me. It did cause the brass to hit the plastic deflector rather hard, so I went with 2 oz of weight in the BCG and the stock spring. Still runs perfectly and the brass isn't hitting the back end of the ejection port. . |

| Is the CMMG trigger (an aftermarket) a forced reset trigger like the FRT12-L3? I'm specifically interested in dropping in the FRT in the Banshee 9mm platform. Trigger fitment is suitable (standard AR-15 lower), but rapid cycling is the factor that needs to be tuned, based on what i've seen on the interweb. Specifically, the combination of BCG weight and buffer/spring is the charm. I just wanted to find out if someone has found the secret sauce to reduce trial and error ratio. |

Just got in from the range to function check my MkG Banshee 300 .45acp with 5" barrel. Tried some UMC 230g and Federal 230g, both ball. It worked flawlessly, both in semi and 3rd position. Suppressed and unsuppressed. I used both Glock OEM and SGM mags. No tuning or modification required. Giggle Factor=HIGH. I had a single FTF when I tried some 230g Blazer Aluminum, but I'm blaming that on an old 13rd LEO trade-in mag that probably has a weak spring. I did not have any other issues with the Blazer, and it zipped off the rest of the mag ok. Hope your experience with the 9mm is as good. I have a 9mm build I'm thinking about dropping one in. Let us know how it goes. |
