I am in the process of collecting all the parts to build a 12.5” 5.56x45mm pistol.

The barrel is a 12.5” Gunner from Faxon.

Which freefloat handguard would you recommend?

I plan on using either an SB-5 or SB-3 brace.

Which buffer, spring and tube would you recommend for the lower?

I’m a fan of the A5 system for buffer/tube/spring if not going adjustable gas. As for handguards, there are a lot of good options out there. I like the FCD on mine.

I have an FCD on my 12.5" and a Centurion on the wife's. Both are excellent handguards.

And I run carbine RE's on both. Sprinco Blue and H2 in mine and a standard carbine spring and H2 in the wife's

Both shoot excellent.
