Why are some H2/H3 buffers pushing $200 and a 4.9oz no name buffer goes for $12? Is it about weight or some other voodoo? Talking basic, not tunable or hydraulic! Like wtaf! |
| Primary Arms has a couple H2 buffers in stock for $70-ish. I've heard the issue with tungsten is that most of it comes from China and they're driving up the market value of tungsten. I don't know how accurate that is, but it's what I've been told. |

Unless you run across a hell of a sale, any sub-$60 H3 buffer likely uses steel instead of tungsten. The Tromix H3 is the only non-tungsten buffer that I would spend my money on. |

FRT's need moving mass to prevent bolt bounce. Tungsten rocketed in price. Tromix has the steel solution that works in FRT guns at a reasonable price. https://tromix.com/product/ar-15-h3-buffer-carbine/ |

I bought complete VLTOR A-5 Stock System with buffer tube locally for $87 including taxes. It's got Sprinco green spring and long H2 buffer with a nice VLTOR buffer A5 length. Put it on my lower that has 11.5 upper for pistol. Can't wait to take it to the range. Shoulder surgery so it will be awhile. Looks good and heard good reviews on it. Any range reviews from VLTOR users will be appreciated. |

I buy the tungsten weights in a 3 or 4 pack for way less, then a little tappitty tappitty roo with a punch and hammer. H nothing to h3 with a little elbow work.  My last 4 pack was like $78 shipped a week ago. The last one a couple weeks before that was $60.  That's a bit of an increase, but still cheaper than a complete assembly at $200!! |
