I know this has probably been brought up a million times but here it goes again. I'm using boretech cleaning carbon remover. I have a geissele 11.5" barrel with a hurwx suppressor. The crown has a massive build up of carbon that I didn't see until now. I scrapped a decent amount with a brass pick but now I'm down to the crown and I'm not trying to damage it. I've let it soak in the bore cleaner and I still can't get the crown completely carbon free. I used red loctite to keep the flash hider on so taking it off and getting it that way is not an option. Any help would be absolutely phenomenal. |
| Oh I have that, and I tried it. I even let it soak. It's like one with the barrel. I have brass picks, and the only way I removed a lot of the carbon was picking it off with the brass picks. However now I'm down to some of the metal and I'm not wanting to damage the crown by accidentally digging into it, and then causing baffle strikes in the suppressor and going through all of that. |
