@stinkypol I am considering stocks, and am curious... you had an M&A Parts carbine stock, but also ordered the H&R version CAR stock from PSA, but then posted the picture of your build with a magpul SL stock, so which do you prefer and why? Why not just keep the M&A stock? What is the difference between it and the H&R version? And why remove both and install the Magpul instead? Thank you |

Thank you @ObsoleteMan I’m kinda confused, I don’t have a Magpul SL stock. I put the H&R stock on it, my 733 clone has the M&A stock. I did have a Magpul brace on my 733 lower at one time, not a SL stock. The H&R stock is a bit thicker as far as material thickness compared to the M&A stock. I’m not picky as far as stocks, I lean towards the M&A because I think it is closer to the Colt N1’s. |

Ahhh, nevermind, I figured it out... you posted etslick's photo of his SL equipped version on pg 3, thats where I got confused (because it was highlighted as a yellow post)  It looks like the H&R is very similar to the M&A, I will probably just go that route if they are decent enough. |

Weekend bump and update. I splurged  Got this coming. Attached File I’m still gonna mod my airsoft MP5 sourced unit. I figured if I need to buy the A21 extension, M10 or M31 ring, and source the M16 mount, I can buy this and test fit the extension to make sure it fits the MP5 unit and the pressure switch I have. |

I THINK they weren’t sold on their own, just packaged with the Comp Ms back in the day (mid-late 90s).

Here’s mine I just received today with a Surefire 660 light. The stamped steel clamp needs to be shaved on both sides to fit through the site base on the barrel. The Picatinny base needs to be relieved also to fit between the rings of the site base on the barrel. Attached File Attached File I replaced the 4 attachment bolts with new ones. It only came with one complete bolt and a broken one. Took it all apart, cleaned it up l, and reassembled it. The M14 mounts are hard to find and expensive when found. There is a complete new in the package one on fleabay for $185 and that doesn’t include the ring mount. ETA: You can get a cheap Chinesium barrel clamp mount, similar, but aluminum from Amazon or fleabay. The Weaver ring mounts are cheap on fleabay too. |

Here’s a shot of the Surefire M10 between the regular Weaver scope rings. The one on the right is correct for the M31 mount. The Surefire mounts came with cap head screws or slotted screws. Attached File Now the the MP5 airsoft light up grade to a 660’ish style light. The light wouldn’t work with the Surefire adapter and tail cap. It did work with the A21 adapter and aftermarket pressure pad. Here’s a shot of it in the functional setup. Attached File |
