I have searched, googled, looked high and low for real velocities from this load in shorter barrels (10.5" is what I am looking for, the closer, the better). The "shortest" I have found is 16".
Also, has anyone tested this round for accuracy from an SBR, and does it perform better than the 70gr offerings? Thanks in advance! |

Got those numbers for you. HK 416D, 14.5" barrel, velociity 2,784fps, SD of 10 LMT, 16" barrel, velocity 2,911fps, SD of 18 DPMS, 18" barrel, velocity 2,990fps, SD of 8 Custom 20" barrel, velocity 3,029fps, SD of 9 These results are what we received through these weapons today with one lot of ammo. YMMV.

So technically is does not make it faster, just more effecient. P |

Barrel Length: BHA .223 62GR. TSX MV/ BHA 5.56MM 62GR. TSX MV: 80F/300FT. MSL/29.92 10.5" 1x7 SS Noveske: 2545 FPS/2573 FPS 16" 1x7 Chrome Lined Colt M4: 2579 FPS/2869 FPS Factory BHA .223 62GR. TSX load fired from a 10.5" 1x7 SS Noveske with M4 can: sub-MOA 0.995" (5) shot group@100yds. in trigger-pull conditions

Stuff like this is why I buy BH.
And on topic: Thats some impressive expansion ranges for the 62gr pill. I'm gonna have to get some for the longer barrel guns. I use 50gr TSX on anything under 14.5" |
