Been upgrading buffers with more tungsten weights lately, stocked up before prices zoomed all the way to the sky…. When roll pins won’t stay in place it is annoying, but peening both ends seems like it would make later disassembly problematic. Good loctite seems like a bad idea due to heat melting the rubber/polymer buffer material. Rocksett seems like the wrong thing. Just wondering what others have found effective when you get a buffer that has that roll pin working loose? Doesn’t happen enough that I recall how to best deal with it… I think the mil spec buffer roll pin might be a larger diameter one than is sometimes used as well? Problem currently is that I test fired various uppers and lowers, with multiple weights, and one pin started coming out…I fixed it but now don’t recall which one it was, and I want to preemptively deal with the issue, as reliability is important to me! |

You need to grab a box of assorted new pins. It’s a single use item. In a pinch you can grab a box with a 100 plus miscellaneous size from harbor freight. You may need to trim the length |
