I have zero issues with the D&H magazines and Magpul Gen 3 20 rounders. They feed 75 grain BTHP’s and 77 gr SMK loads of various types with no issues. I own two duramags and have zero issues with those as well thus far, but I have far more of the other types. I use the 20 rounders mostly in my SPR and whenever I bench shoot my DD4V7. |

I have USGI 20s, MagPul 20s, and Lancer 20s. I had used the USGIs for the longest time without issues and never saw a need to change. I did have a few fall off the shooting bench and landed on concrete. Some were empty and some were loaded. I didn’t like the fact that they dented and 2 of them had bent feed lips which I ended up trashing. In the last few years I switched over to MagPul and Lancer 20s. I like Lancers the most. No more dents when dropped. They are also quieter when packing away the empty mags (more covert). Metal mags makes to much of that metallic clanky noise. |

I hate the curved 20 rounders. I understand *why* they're made like that, but I still hate them. I think Colt still sells straight 20's. I bought several 4-5 years ago to augment my old straight Magpul 20's and my Vietnam era Colt 20's. edit: I can't find any Colt 20's for sale new anymore. Apparently it has been longer than I thought and those that I can find are 2.5x as expensive. edit2: I found what looks like straight metal D&H magazines for $20/ea at Primary Arms. Tempted to order a couple. |
| Ordered a couple of the D&H straight 20rnd mags from Primary Arms. Very nice with a dry film coating or something. They're very close to the same as my old & newer Colt 20s. They have a green plastic follower. I think my old Colts have a metal follower and the newer ones a black plastic follower. Haven't tested them beyond inserting in a lower. Looks good to me. |
