Looking at building an 8” 556 with a ballistic advantage barrel. Has anyone used the bcm mcmr 7 with an 8” barrel? Worried I want have enough threads exposed for it to work with a can. Bcm has the oa length at 7.39”. Thanks! |
| That’s pretty close. I have a 10.5” barrel and a 9.875 handguard. It’s close but it works with Rugged and Dead Air mounts. Both of those (Sandman & Razor) don’t cover the mount fully. If using either of those mounts/cans you would gain between 1/8-1/16th inch as when the suppressor is mounted you can still see that much of the mount. |
