I ceracoated all my 6.8 mags on the bottom inch or so Jesse James Blue to differentiate them at at a glance from the 5.56 mags. Yes, the 6.8 Barrett lowers have a standard magwell. |
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

ASC mags work pretty well in 6.8 SPC. It helps to Dremel out the front little bit of the magazine to ensure rounds don't catch. The 30 rd Barrett mags have a steel follower in a steel magazine. There's more friction than you'd get with a plastic follower, exacerbated by the long spring in the long magazine. I've not had it happen when actually firing, but the followers do sometimes bind when shucking rounds. All that is to say, I wouldn't expect the Barrett mags to be somehow better or more reliable than other 6.8 standard pattern magazines. You won't go wrong with PRI if you can find them. |
