| Have a 16in bcm mcmr and took it to the range and shot 200 rounds of new freedom munitions 223 and had about 8 malfunctions. I got home and the gas tube has a rattle in the receiver and in the hand guard also. Should I contact bcm? |
| You could try better quality ammunition. Also, if it is new, sometimes the gas system leaks a bit, such as at the interface between the tube and the gas block as well as at the interface between the gas block and barrel. With time, carbon buildup can seal small leaks. |

Should I contact bcm? don't think a gas tube should be loose enough to rattle on any ar no matter what handguard you have. never bought a completed rifle, assembled all of mine. if this was one of mine I would be pulling the handguard to inspect the gas system. gas tubes and their roll pins are long term consumables (too easy to damage imo, the one weakness of the design imo) so I keep spares. |
