Also.....why don't you see anyone with this system being actually used in a AR15 based 9mm PCC in a YT video ?? Not even the company making it has a video of it in a PCC. The price is over $450 dollars.......that would get me 3 known/reliable and user serviceable Gentle Recoil Systems in 3 of my blow back PCC's. It requires an A2 buffer tube....there goes using an adjustable buttstock or pistol brace with an A5 or carbine buffer tube. So.... here is all the info the OP needs to know..... It won't work in a PCC without considerable bolt mods. It's 3 times the cost of the blow-back GRS system, more than a RDS system, and both are a known working, tune-able system for various barrel lengths, suppressors, and ammo type. You could just buy a Radial Delayed Bolt Carrier Group... and a GRS system with that kind of money. And it's been out for over 2 years....no videos of it being tested at a range in any platform. But all this info anyone can find in a few minutes of searching the internet, and reading previous buffer discussions here in this subforum using Google to find previous buffer discussion threads. . |

I have experience with the regular 5.56 ar15 variant. With that version the recoil reduction is significant. It's in my main 2/3 gun rifle. One "test" I did with a real good friend at a match was to see how fast he could get hits on a c zone at 100 yards from prone with a bipod. With the same upper and a normal a5h2 buffer lower splits were around 0.15 seconds with an occasional miss. With the armanov buffer splits were around 0.11 seconds no misses. He mentioned he couldn't pull the trigger fast enough to get even better splits but was confident the rifle was capable of it. Everyone I've let try it has expressed a desire to buy one, but the price has been a hurdle for most. I unfortunately don't have any videos right now, but I'm hoping to get some in the near future, health willing. Let me know what questions you have and I'll try my best to answer. |

poe, thanks for your considerate response and mini review of the 5.56 variant. Since this is a European product I'm curious how you came about it? Regarding the price, it is a chunk of change at $470 but for those of us in the PCC world who have bought or intend to buy the latest F.E. radial delay blowback retrofit kit from CMMG at $425 it was not too much difference but now there is an additional $50 in Trump tariffs. |

You remove the bolt weight, but you add weight to the buffer system. There are a number of PCC systems with which you remove the bolt weight. It’s not that big of a deal. |

I first started buying from Armanov due to their Dillon 750 upgrades. I'd been using the Whidden free floating tool head but was not the happiest with it. Noticed the buffer system when buying a few more tool heads and lock rings. Didn't see any real reviews on the system and decided that I'd risk it and try it myself (and hopefully get some real reviews out there). And yeah, the price is not cheap, especially now with the tariffs. I'm lucky enough to be at a point in my life where I can spend that kind of money on a buffer. I also want to financially support companies who are taking risks and trying new things. Even if a product doesn't work out, I like when companies at least attempt to innovative. It's hard to explain how the recoil impulse changes, it's unlike anything else on the market. I know the physics behind it doesn't "actually" cancel out the recoil, but it feels like it. It's a little hard to compare my experience with the 5.56 version, what I'd expect the 9mm version to feel like, and my experience with current PCC delayed options. With the rdb system and the JP5, it felt like the recoil was reduced significantly. The scheels roller delay system is something that I'd like to try at some point, as well as the PCC armanov to compare. |

I would like to try it with my CMMG RDB but I don't want to move to an A1/A2 buffer tube. If they had something that would work in a carbine tube I might. I think it should function similar to what I've seen with the Miculek magnetic where mass is helping to really slow down the impulse. For reference I’m a USPSA PCC GM and a Steel Challenge PCCO/PCCI GM. Going to the Scheels was easily the most significant overall performance benefit I’ve found. If this is even better than that, it would be worth the money. |

A proprietary receiver extension and stock would allow use of a larger gear and more counterweight. |
