Put a small mark in the metal of the upper receiver. I mean, it's not mission critical...since I don't HAVE any missions, but it would be kind of nice to be able to close it. |

I have a Spikes Tactical upper with a crooked dust cover that doesn't seal the rear-end. That's caused me far too much annoyance over the years, but..... I don't feel like de-barreling the upper to replace it. This will require a new upper to remedy. The holes for the dust cover pin were drilled crooked. Another upper, unbranded, that pops open if you apply even the slightest pressure to the middle of the axis pin. Super annoying. In this case, it probably just needs a quality pin/rod. |

I managed to get it shut with a tool...just to see if I could, and man did it take some pulling on the charging handle to get it open again! This weekend I am going to strip it out, if this fat old fumble fingered idiot can figure out hwo to do it...see, I can't even spell "how"... |
