| Who is using anti walk tigger pins and which ones are best? Any feed back is appreciated. |
| I remember about 10 years ago everyone was using those kns(I think) anti walk thingies. Mostly because they looked cool I guess but I was wanting some for the disruptor but can't find them anywhere now. I finally have a cassette style trigger to properly use and it seems they are vaporwere now. |

each scenario for needing them is different. some designs are better for certain scenarios. some lowers can be colt or anyone have blem trigger pin holes where the pin holes are way oversized not to spec. when you encounter one you will know once at the range your pins will walk out. another is when shooting full auto, binary or frt the pins will walk out. another is when guys have home builds and pin holes are not anodized and holes get bigger from use and cleaning take down or whatever reasons and pins start walking out at range. all these scenarios are from loose fitment where the pins stay put just fine under spring detent pressure on pin slots but vibrations and repetition make them walk all over the place. once they start moving and walking under vibration the first time it only gets worse until fixed. the only fix is to weld up pin holes, reanodize receiver in hard coat or replace receiver if not using anti walk pins. if you do use anti walk pins you will find out some break at their weakest point where the outer hole is threaded. my guess is with increased forced reset trigger use now days a lot more will be needed and will be breaking. that means theres a market for solid pin designs like elftmann if anyone wants to step up and design something thats a little more flawless. i think currently all are still considered fragile in inner or outer part of design or at least have some problems like maintenance tear down cleaning scuffing up lowers. a better design of one anti walk pin set to rule them all is what im looking for currently. the elftmann is likely the best current offering for all scenarios but ive not tried it yet. |

More often than not they’re unnecessary. However, when you have a rifle with pins that walk out it’s terribly inconvenient and potentially dangerous… I’ve only had pins walk on me in one rifle and that was my issued M4… First trip to the range after it went thru reset after we got back from the sandbox. |
