So I finished my last PSA testing and here you go:

This time it's the 77TMK loads:  my reload vs PSA vs BHA offering.

The Test:  200yd, benched, 10 shots slow fire with a 20" Krieger SR barrel and M4 Scope on top.

TLDR:  The PSA quality was REALLY BAD with these but it shot ok.  As in a buggered bullet and a case some "ring" in it etc......and BAD run out.  Not "5.56" pressure either if you care.
The one shot in the BHA group ruined it but I didn't call it..............so no excuses.
My hand load rocks.

PSA 77TMK ammo:
I pulled several and found:
-primer not crimped or sealed.
-about 25.4 grains of unknown powder
-Bullet not sealed but crimped despite not having a cannelure.
-RUN OUT WAS BAD....... rolling the cartridges on a flat surface.......you could watch the tip/bullet wobble around off center

-One round had a mangled bullet in it.  Another had a ring around the case.

Details:
-shot at an elevation of 5545ft.
-Conditions: cool (67F), breezy and bright.
-Rifle:  Krieger 20" SR barrel with 646rds on it, Match chamber.  Leupold mk4 scope on it.
-shot off bench......... shoot one, dry fire one.  Bore snaked between different loads.
-Chrono was 15ft from muzzle.

Results, in order of shooting:
SEE PHOTOS

Handload:  10 shots ave 2706fps    SD: 16.73   0.87 MOA
PSA:  10shots ave 2715fps   SD: 14.28             1.294 MOA
BHA:  10shots ave: 2828fps    SD:16.34            1.540 MOA

Mean Radius's are listed on/in the photos.

Was the high TMK bullet the first round of the group?

Again not a bad bang for the buck result from the PSA load.

No and if say you are thinking of this for hunting.......... do you care what the case looks like or the runout?

Odd flyer from the BHA.

IDK........ I looked at the cartridges (like all of them), didn't see anything unusual?  ?

Would you be willing to share your personal TMK load ? I seem to have a heck of a time getting the 77gr TMK group as well as I'd like.

Only generally, Mag length, R15 get them around 2700-2750.  I do use a bushing, so light tension.

How do you suppose the bad TMK bullet got that way ?  From Sierra or at PSA ?

No idea, I don't know................  Are these actual SIERRA TMK's?   As like the 77 rounds, it didn't "SIERRA" on the box, just 77TMK.  ???

And could you cut in half the bad PSA case ?  I am curious if the issue is inside as well.

I already tossed all the brass into the recycle bin.  FWIW......... I did the paper clip test and didn't feel any groove.  The outside, I could barely catch it with the finger nail.  ???

And Thanks for sharing !

I assume you mean the BHA "flyer"..................  IDK.  I wasn't trying to spot each round as fired.

Thanks for the answers.

FWIW, the PSA webpage says

"Features

The 5.56 77GR Sierra Tipped MatchKing® Ammunition from AAC delivers superior performance when you need it most.

Sierra Tipped MatchKing® 77gr Projectile:"

Ok........ well thats pretty clear then.
But no, I have no way of knowing when that damage occurred.

PS: My load............  brass is usually lake city but for sure same headstamp.  Otherwise nothing special.
