My local fun store had an Andro Corp upper and lower kit in…someone’s project - it had a G trigger, 308 carbine receiver extension, buffer, spring and B5 stock, B5 grip, and a barrel nut of indeterminate make for a good price so I snagged it while I could No BCG, rail, barrel, gas, none of that.

The upper/lower is cut seemingly for an SR25/AR10-pattern slant cut, but the upper itself is DPMS high rail it looks like? Does anyone know if SR25-type uppers will fit it, or is it one of those weird “sorta but not quite the same” proprietary kind of things? Which is fine, I just don’t quite know what uppers are compatible if I decide to go with a pre-built other upper or what.

I’m kind of planning on a 20” 6.5Jesusmoor build with it, carbine stock and all…I’ve got a couple 308s and figure the more the merrier.

The upper/lower were unfired, no carbon anywhere and popping the H3 (not sure if it’s an AR15 carbine buffer or what) buffer out, there was not a lick of carbon or even oil/grease on it, so like I said - my best guess is someone started something and either hit hard times, or said fuck it and bailed and got a pre-built rifle. Whomever built it (if the lower wasn’t a pre-build) staked the receiver extension in, which is why I’m not super considering swapping it out for a rifle extension.

Sounds like a fun project.

The other possibility is they started a quality build, discovered their receiver set was out of of spec, pulled all the parts they wanted to keep and junked the rest on consignment.

The Geissele trigger argues against that though.

The G$ trigger, H3 buffer, and receiver extension/spring/stock, if I sold them separately, would cover what I paid for the whole set

This was very much a "I need to spend this money so I can save some money" situation

I think what I’m going to do is SBR this and disassemble my M5E1 pistol upper, swap the barrel to this, and a new handguard (I’ve already got a BCG for it, just need a charging handle at that)…and away we go. I already know the pistol barrel shoots and have a Riflespeed on it.

I’ll then convert the current pistol M5E1 to a 20” 6.5 Creed - I just fell into a 16.6” M5E1 handguard for it, so may as well play switcharoo…then I just need another riflespeed block and gas tube for that, and a proper A2 fixed stock extension/stock…

Right, but like I asked in my OP:

If you look at the cut on the rear of the receiver and lower, it’s not a DPMS cut…

I realize it is a "Armalite" slant cut between the upper and lower.

The general consensus is don't mix and match various brand uppers and lowers etc.

Sadly, there are no MilSpec guidelines for LFAR's... so I have no absolute answer for your question. It is frustrating there are so many patterns, let alone so many "sub patterns" between the 2 dominant patterns.

To be blunt, Aero was also making those "mix and match pattern" uppers and lowers for numerous companies. Stag comes to mind immediately.

Which tended to make answering your specific question , a who knows for sure / only if you try for yourself issue.

Everyone seems to make a different version of even the "DPMS" patterns, using some slightly "off / different" dimensions to avoid patent infringement.

IE, PSA v. Aero, both are DPMS "Pattern" ... however... the "slight" differences make the 2 not completely compatible.
Take down pins , different lengths, and spacing is different, just slightly.
BCG axis placement is sightly higher on the PSA , over the Aero... and that effects the mag catch position , the level the mags feeds at, bolt catch function.
Slightly different  handguard rail heights.

Anyway... the point is I, don't have an answer to your specific question.
Especially since you have a kinda rare / oddball receiver set.

At this point I would suggest you phone Andro Corp and ask to speak to the Tech Dept.

Some one there should know the answer.

Ask your specific question... mention you understand about the DPMS pattern barrel threads.

I wish there was a "cheat sheet" out there for the "what works with what" aspect.... but there are way to many slight variables between the Lack of Milspec guidelines.

FWIW... this thread kinda shows the "subtle differences" aspect I am talking about. It can be a can ole' worms.
