I have a Comp M2 and the windage/elevation does not seem to move the reticle. Purchased used so the warranty isnt valid. Has anyone ever sent theirs in for repair and maybe have an idea of the cost? |

I had an Aimpoint damaged by the previous owner. They took plyers to the adjustment knob and turned it too far. I asked about paying to have it repaired. Aimpoint said to send it in and they would send me a quote. After some weeks, I hadn't heard anything from them. They sent me back a rebuild and fixed Aimpoint. |

Wasnt sure if itd be worth the cost but everyone seems happy with their CS, so I'll give it a try. Thanks! |

Aimpoint and Surefire are two I’ve always heard great things about. I haven’t had to use Aimpoint yet, but had a few friends use them for minor issues which Aimpoint quickly rectified. Surefire I had a M952 Factory FDE which had the turn IR head in it. IR worked fine, but the white light eventually started flickering like a disco party if on longer than a minute and then all the time. Granted I had been issued this light in Afghanistan, and when I brought it up they just handed me a new one and told me to keep the old one. Me being sentimental, I emailed Surefire asking how much. They said send it in for a quote, sent it in, they said it was toast and sent me a replacement one with the same IR features. Granted at this point, I don’t have NVGs so I sold it but that experience made me a Surefire customer for life. |
