I'm putting together a 10.5" .300 BO, pistol gas. It will be used occasionally for hunting. It is a cheap build, all around. It will be shot suppressed. Should I keep it cheap and put a $20 gas block on it or put an adjustable on it? The extra $100 or so isn't going to change my life, but neither will my brass flying an extra 20'. What do you think? |

Get a decent barrel and buffer setup and it's not needed. Mine can run in all four configurations with no adjustable anything. 8.3" Seekins barrel and Surefire Genesis, I use a run of the mill spring and an H3 buffer. The H3 does an amazing job keeping the upper nice and clean for extended subsonic operation that is a known issue for lighter buffers. |

| If your 300 BO will cycle subs with no can, then it's going to be way over gassed with supers and beat the crap out of your internals. An AGB will tame things down considerably sand allow you to adjust quickly and easily between ammo. Also easier than changing out buffers, etc between ammo types. |
