Good day all I am new to the sight so please be patient if I violate any protocols. I have recently acquired an AR10 chambering .45 Raptor with an 18" barrel. I have only fired it a few times because of cost per round,until I start hand/Re loading my own. There does not seem to be as much information and discussion on the .45 Raptor as other AR variants. I am looking to expand my knowledge base through discussion on this topic. Would anyone out care to. Discuss and or share their experience? |

| I built a bolt action 45 raptor off of a Ruger American action. I got the barrel from shaw, then cut and threaded to 18. I reload for it and have found honady 250gr ftx and h110 the be the best combo. However the BC for those ftx bullets were way off for me. I suspect because of the speed they are being pushed to. I used my lab radar to calculate the correct bc and shoot it out to 400yds pretty regularly. |

Thankyou for the information. I am getting ready to reload for it when my brass shows up. I am using a standard AR10 platform with a 5.7oz stealth buffer and an 18" barrel. I am impressed with the range that you get from it. I have a a 450BM, 458SOCOM, and a 50BW but there ranges fall far short of 400y. |
