It works now. I think the issue was when you changed it to say ">>> CLICK THIS LINK <<<". The WYSIWYG editor barfs on that. No big deal, but I changed it back to the plain link to make it work. BTW: I marked this thread "Do not archive" so it doesn't disappear after 3 months. |

It doesn't matter. back to the topic: I've made them before by taking apart a store bought one, and using it as a template. I used elmers glue, but it took longer to dry than your glue did. I also didn't have the fancy locking pliers, so I just used scotch tape to hold the glue together, and let it dry for a few hours. I made most of mine using beer and coke cases. edit: I decided to dig a few out of an ammo can, along with the "template". Here is some crappy phone pics of mine. They probably are not as nice as yours, but they get the job done. I like storing my reloads this way, since it's space efficient, and super easy to load them using a strip lula. Very nice tutorial OP.

well, its really about resupply & the ability to easily reload your magazines under stress .....
the cardboards keep the strippers loaded w/ ammo together in the bandolier, that way you develop a "memory" for it In the early 60's as a kid I remember bandoliers loaded with ammo & en-bloc clips for M1-Garands I would sit and unload them for my grandfather while he would pull the AP bullets so that he would have low cost brass, I tried to put some loaded en-bloc clips back into a bandolier this one time ....... I fumbled for a long time even with my child sized hands back then |
