Came into a stainless Spikes 6.8 8.5" barrel really cheap on the EE. Its a Lothar Walther barrel. Their 6.8 barrels were used at Barrett were very accurate. Submitted a Form 1 for the reciever it's going to built up on. Trouble is, the 1/2"x28 muzzle threads. Needing some sort of good flash hider that has those threads, but I guess I need a 308 sized ID. |

dpms and olympic arms both used 1/2-28 for their 6.8 barrels when the cartridge was being introduced. That was the common muzzle thread before the spc II spec came along later. Of course, I would suggest that you check the bore with a guide rod, but 6.8 is technically .277" diameter and it's not much larger diameter than 223. |
