| Still slowly but surely putting together my 458 socom. Is it wise to use a rifle length buffer tube, or should I stick with the carbine length tube? I want to use a fixed stack and prefer those that are available for the rifle length tubes, but not a huge deal. Thanks for any assistance |

| The .458 SOCOM was designed from the ground up to use STANDARD rifle or CAR buffer tubes, buffers, and springs. You might need to go to a HB or even a 2HB if you are shooting a 6-10" .458 SOCOM with pistol gas length, but that depends on the gas port size also. If your upper is gassed correctly, as a TROMIX will be, you will not need to use an extra power buffer spring in either the rifle or CAR length systems, even if shooting suppressed. |
