Not super familiar with the current infrastructure to support these. https://tromix.com/product/economy-ar-15-375-socom-upper-17-lightweight-blemished-2/ I am specifically looking at the Tromix options here, and while I would consider another builder, no gun plumbers are under consideration (including myself  ). I want supersonic performance and deep penetration with hard bullets, or better tough game options. Less frontal area and higher velocity suggests to me that inside 200 yards, the 375 SOCOM is the better option. I will "skill build" with it against Texas Feral Hogs! It may find its way to my Overlanding rig for bears and similar threats far away from paved roads. TIA, Sid |

Go over to 458 SOCOM forms for a lot more information about the .375 SOCOM than you will find here. Short answer. Strong knockdown power 200 yards and under the .458 S wins. For ranges out to 300 yards the .375 wins hands down and has a much flatter trajectory at all ranges compared to the .458. I have multiples of both and honestly I’d have a difficult time giving up either. Each excels in its niche. |
