Looking to shoot more dmr type matches this year and think I want a heavier barrel. I have a custom craddock 18” now but it’s fluted. I’d like to get something in stock and could kick myself for not pulling the trigger on the Geissele spr barrels when they came back around. I’m leaning toward a proof 18”. Kreiger also has a DCM style barrel in stock also. Looked at Lisa but the were oos on their dcm style barrels at this time. What’s your thoughts on the proof vs the others? Is there another I should consider? I am looking for a heavier barrel. |
| I have the Craddock 15.1 in. Modern Recce barrel and it's awesome in both quality and performance. The fluting definitely cuts down on weight, so I would imagine that their 18 in. fluted barrel would be of the same quality and performance. I have a Centurion Arms 18 in. MK12 barrel that I recently purchased on the EE and it's a thikk barrel, but it is very accurate. I plan on shooting both rifles in some gas gun matches and I think both will do well. If I hadn't bought the Centurion MK12 barrel, I would have bought the Craddock 18 in. barrel. Craddock offers their 18 in. barrel with the fluting as an option. Is it needed, maybe not, but it would make the gun a little lighter. |

I’m 99% sure these are BHW barrels, and while they are good, I don’t recall BHW being listed as better than the top tier barrels in the past. |
