I have a 14.5" Block II-ish build complete except for the optic. I am genuinely torn between three options: TA02 ACOG, Elcan 1-4x, or the Vortex Razor 1-6. I'm hoping to hear from those who have owned one or the other and can offer some useful points of comparison. I've watched a ton of YouTube videos and tried to do as much reading on here as I could prior to this post. I've tried to create a list of pros and cons (as I see them) for each optic set up below. Please feel free to mention if I have forgotten anything. TA02 ACOG +Good battery life +Great durability +Extremely familiar +Simple reticle -Tight eye relief -No adjustable diopter (I do have an astigmatism) Elcan Specter 1-4x -Limited warranty support -No adjustable diopter -No prior experience Vortex Razor -Limited battery life (as I understand it) +Adjustable diopter +Limited prior experience This build is intended to be a very general purpose set up. It will be suppressed (OCL Polo K) and primarily feed on M193. I'm not overly concerned with clone correctness but more function over vibes/aesthetics. Please feel free to comment the good, the bad, and the ugly. I welcome all feedback and comments as I'm a big believer in leveraging the wisdom, knowledge, and experiences of others to make informed decisions. Thank you all! |
