13mm Gyro Jet and a Tunnel Rat 45acp section

| Can the gyrojet pistols still be found dirt cheap? I used to see them in the back of shotgun news when I was a kid for something like $50. But haven't seen them in years. (granted it's been a while since I looked at shotgun news too) I think I might like to own one and a few box's of ammo, just cause it's neat, odd, weird, cool? |

No.Just yesterday a Gyro Jet pistol sold at The Rock Island Auction for $2500.00 and a box of ammo (30 rounds I think) for $3500.00 |

Yup, a day late and always a $ short! Interesting one just sold. That section not mine, for a client. The Gyro jets come in many different shapes and sizes, this is the first I sectioned. That's solid rocket fuel and a piece of nitrated paper for and igniter. Its all set off by a pistol primer. The jet ports on this one are twisted in order to stabilize it better during flight. They sell on cheap side: $25-
The Tunnel rat load was made special for the Vietnam Era Special Forces, called the "Tunnel Rats" Made in 45acp and 357mag. Maybe .38cal? Head stamp is W-W 45 AUTO . There is a military "M" number but don't know it off hand. If you can find them they sell for around $35- The second that I've sectioned and yeah! this one is mine. I'm a greedy little bastard. |
