Nice set up. If I was looking for a 556 piston, I think I'd go the LMT route.

I will have to add my PSD when I get it next week

hopefully I can get this moved over to the new forum...
LWRC pic thread my 10.5" LWRC M6A2 and 8" MRE PSD. I also have a LMT CQB MRP that waiting on a tax stamp. I own quite a few DI's and wanted a piston for diversity. I believe you need a little diversity in your life from time to time.. and almost the whole family.. |

I already have everything, I'm just waiting on the paperwork so I can put it together. I really wish it didn't take so long but it'll be worth it in the long run. If I was to decide to get my first piston upper would you suggest the LWRC 10.5 or the PSD (in 6.8)? Any things I should know between the two? I've heard there's not much point in going shorter than 10.5 unless you go 6.8 but don't have any personal experience in the area. |

I personally like the PSD except for the fact that I got it chambered in 5.56. I bought it with the intensions of it primarily being a range toy only. before the purchase of the PSD, I already had (4) 10.5"'s and a 12" SBR and I would suggest if you were to decide on the PSD, go with the 6.8 if you plan on using it for a self defense weapon. It makes sense in the fact that it will give you more stopping power if the need should arise. I plan on running it to the ground and it was better for me financially to get the 5.56. |

Do you think there will be less reliability issues with the 6.8? The only thing that's kept me from going that short is the downfalls everyone talks about. I would love to get a PSD though. Seems like once you jump into the SBR world every other AR seems too long |

Seems like once you jump into the SBR world every other AR seems too long not at all. One of our friends has a the 6.8 and both have been equally reliable so far. I went 5.56 due to ammo cost and with the intensions of running the dog shit out of it. I would not shoot it as much if i went 6.8 but that's just me..YMMV |

Seems like once you jump into the SBR world every other AR seems too long I wouldn't question its reliability since it's complete package from LWRC, and I haven't seen any owners mention any problems either. Works fine here too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM1SntQ7s7k I won't have time to pick mine up (pistol) until later this next week, hopefully I can get it out to the range soon. I'm definitely glad I went with the 6.8 though. |
