I have one mounted on my FAL carbine. It has kept zero for about 300-400 rounds. My ARMS mount died though. So i guess Tacpoint > arms #3. I didnt run through the woods naked with it in the rain either so i dont know how it holds up there. But for shooting paper i think it will work out just fine.

The flip caps are junk though if you sneeze on them they fall off.

Ive tried to stay level headed by the most part....tell you what..anybody that wants to put this debate to reast...Ill challenge anyone to a shootout with me and my TacPoint...only restriction is you have to put a patch over your right eye and shoot left handed....I lost my eye to a stick when I was 6...so I have to shoot rifles left handed..so you and your Aimpoint will have to as well....anyone up for it..? Its a One Eyed, left handed AR shootin' contest!

Well......if'n ya wanna put sumthin' on that competetion I'll take ya up on it.......after all, I'm lef...errr right, yeah, I'm right handed.

I can pick up a new TP for $78, or an EoTech for $325 (the 552 AA model) or an Aim Point for around the same as the EoTech.....I am leaning towards the EoTech because I like the snap shot ability it gives at the closer ranges, but I think I might grab a TP just piss some of you guys off.

Why not? Aren't Republicans advocates of a free market. In a free market, whoever makes a product people want to buy can, and will. And, if people don't like Chinese optics they can buy American. Sounds like a (gasp) freedom loving Republican's ideal market.

Gosh, some guys just love the drama!
I have one, and its a good cheap optic, mine came with the fake Knights mount, its co-witness on my M4 and shoots fine. I have used the Eotechs before but never a AP. I don't dress up and roll around in the woods, but just some can shooting. its nicer than the $50 BSA I had before.

FALARAK, thanks for the review. I've always wondered about the cheap BSA red dots and this puts it into perspective. My 10/22 will defenitely sport one.

I did well at the range with a cheap BSA red dot $29. well maybe i'm a cheap shooter and i'm a beginner. what i want to do is, get what you could afford and get use to it then save up for better thing later

I'll review the BSA optic mentioned.

I have one on a shotgun and it works great....small red dot, 11 brightness settings, compact, and stays tight on my rail.

And $39.00 is a good price!

Last time I posted my opinion I got my ass kicked, here goes again. As a former operator with actual combat experience I think the Tacpoint is a good (not great) optic. I enjoy "putting" it through alot of range time, next to my other Bushy equipped with an ML2.
