My son and I shooting our S&W M&P15R, which is 14.7 cut and permed, plus I installed the M&P-15T railed free float handguard and S&W brand marked Troy battle sights. On top is a Burris AR332, which has performed very well for me on this carbine.  This event was the annual Friends of Camp Perry "Snowflake Shoot" held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving Day.  |

Smith & Wesson 5.45x39 MagPul MOE Handguard Caldwell Swivel Bipod (Bass Pro) The Lower: Mega (MGO) Lower It has a Mostly DPMS lower parts kit MagPul MIAD Pistol Grip MagPul BAD Lever, Extended Bolt Catch MagPul MIAD Enhanced Trigger Guard, Aluminum BDS Enhanced Dual Sling Unknown Brand Ambidextrous end plate W/no-mar tabs CAA 6 position stock W/adjustable cheek piece Eventually the carry handle will come off and make room for a Aimpoint. I took 5 C-products mags with me to the range and lots of 5.45x39 ammo from AIM surplus. I fired 330 rounds using all 5 mags and had NO failures or malfunctions of any kind. Last time I was on this forum I think I was the only one with a S&W 5.45. Glad to see more people getting them! I have been slowly putting money into it. I need to get a higher mount for my aimpoint. I love this gun. It's a 20rnd thermold. I dremeled the follower to accommodate larger internal rails for the 5.45 and I glued 2 plastic guide rods to act as rails and keep the bullets pointed correctly.
Generally speaking it feeds well. I wouldn't call it 100% but it's usually good to go. |
