So, I've been looking at sling options for a while. I got bored the other night, had some 550 cord laying around, and decided to try something out. After measuring out the size I thought I needed and constructing it all, I found that my sling was just a hair too long to make a hasty sling out of it. Then I thought to my self, I can make it just a bit wider, and it should work. I went back to instructables and used a cobra stitch found here: Cobra stitch and it made the sling almost perfect for my use. I had a brainstorm. When I sling the rifle, the clasp falls right on top of my shoulder. For anyone who might decide that they like this enough to try it out, I suggest you make the forward attatchment no more than 3 inches long, including the clasp. BTW I used approximately 70' in black, and 45' in OD. |

How do you guys get the inside cords out of 100' of paracord? okay, that makes it a lot easier. I was trying to pull the guts out of 100' and having lots of fun doing so. Of course now that I've got it started I'll probably have to continue until I get it out. |

Ive been working at one of these 1 point slings for about 1.5 hours and im only half through Im not sure how much cord is in it yet, but my estimate is 30ft and it looks like its gonna take that much more. Any one know how much cord it normally takes for a single point sling? Alsohow long did it take you to finish it? Thanks!
