[ARCHIVED THREAD] - JJE-H&R LLC acquisition of NoDak Spud (Page 5 of 89)

Quoted: What is going to happen with pending orders from NoDak Spud? I'm on the wait list for an 80% M16A1 lower, said to be available early 2022. Consider all NoDak Spud pre-orders for retro AR lower and upper receivers to be cancelled. There will be no more retro AR lower receivers marked with NDS manufacturer markings, nor will there be more retro AR upper receivers made with the 'NDS' forge code. We do have limited inventory of unanodized, 'in the white' NDS-603, NDS-604, and NDS-605 upper receivers available, and those that don't sell by the end of business on 12/23/2021 will be moved to H&R. I will not be joining the new H&R team, but I will keep all of the NDS pre-order information. Once I find out that H&R is ready with retro AR lower and upper receiver products and ready to take orders, I will try my best to send out informational emails or phone calls to all on these pre-order lists, providing information on how to place a new order with H&R. Due to the pending ATF changes in regulating less than 100% receiver blank products (80%), I understand that H&R does not have interest at this time to offer such a lower receiver product. When I find time I will try my best to send email or phone replies to all on the waiting lists for NDS AR lower receiver blanks, with the message that NoDak Spud will not be able to fulfill those waiting to order. Thanks for all your past business and support. Harlan NoDak Spud LLC |

Quoted: I'll see that and raise you a Fallout Las Vegas NCR Service rifle. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/91277/NCR_SR-2213018.jpg Every dang time I see that rifle, I wanna build one to go with our AER-9 laser rifle! I think an ARFCOMER built that, or has one near identical, I love it. |

Quoted: Thank you! We appreciate that and appreciate your love and respect for the 2nd amendment. We make custom and mil spec parts for a lot of the industry, if we can assist you with any of your projects in any way, please contact Mike. I appreciate that, I definitely have a need for raw parts. Much smaller volumes... I appreciate you guys being cool about all this. The fact that I didn't pull the product sooner was not out of disrespect for the tradename or trademarks. When Josiah posted you guys were making retro products I didn't know when or if it would happen, there has been a lot of promises made to the retro/cloner crowd that didn't materialize. Like the Robinson Arms Stoner 63's... that was something I was so excited for and poof... Looking forward to seeing the happy customers and cloners. |

Quoted: Another retro line of AR10's? So many choices in terms of what to make and how faithful to the 1950's design. Hoping for many parts to be compatible with the Dutch guns. Quoted: Quoted: ....I want the focus of this thread to be on our upcoming H&R Retro line of AR-10, AR-15, M1 garand, M14, T48 etc Another retro line of AR10's? So many choices in terms of what to make and how faithful to the 1950's design. Hoping for many parts to be compatible with the Dutch guns. Along that line of questioning about the retro AR-10 rifles... Are you guys planning (or at least considering?) doing a True Portugese version of the late original AR-10s? One that has furniture that would be FAR closer in appearance than what Brownells compromised to, and with a correct front end with the hand guards, heat shields, adjustable gas block FSB, correct looking hand guard retainer, and barrel shroud/bayonet mount/flash hider? I once had the old Armalite AR-10B "tribute" version, I currently have the Brownells AR-10B "portugese" light barrel version, but I would love to have either a newly made correct looking Portugese version or at least, have the parts available to convert the Brownells I have to something that is more true to the exterior appearance. Hey; it never hurts to ask, right? |

Quoted: Will NDS sell or liquidate any more scraps or blems? Inquiring as the last 604 blem upper I got a few weeks ago was great! We’ve been selling in the white uppers for the last few weeks. -$10 for ITW Another-$10 for blems Today is the last day we are taking orders. We’ve been out of lowers for months. All defects and scrap has been chopped and recycled. |

I know many would like to see Lower Receivers with minimum markings… BUT!! I’m seriously loving the prototype “H&R M16A1” markings and logo!! I truly hope at the first few batches are marked this way!! Normally, I’m not a fan of logos, with the exception of Colts, Armalite and now your H&R!! Man, I cry when I see a perfectly fine lower receiver with the dumbest logo like on Stag Arms, DPMS and Anderson Arms… To name a few. |

This is, to me, about the only time I've heard of a good gun industry company getting bought out where my I didn't get nervous instantly. I don't expect to have all of the H&R products of the past come back, by any means (besides the fitting of the topper, although I like the 999 Sportsman revolver, it is an engineering nightmare) I would imagine there's some kick ass possibilities here. (These aren't great thoughts or anything, just spitballing). 1. Is the location/deposition of all of the former FN-FAL tooling known? Because a PSA priced, H&R marked T48 would be pretty cool. DS is OK for what it is, but even just H&R marked receivers would be pretty cool. 2. Keep in mind H&R made T223 licensed clones of the HK33. Perhaps this can and should be merged in with the PSA MP5 project. I mean, historically speaking if the T223 had taken off, it would stand to reason that instead of DOE 9mm Colt SMGs, there might have been H&R MP5s... 3. What happened to the Taiwanese T65 M14 tooling? For that matter, I know screw China, but would Norinco sell the M305 tooling? Because well done H&R M14s would be sweet. |

Quoted: Hey Mike, I know it might be a little premature to ask this but will the price point be somewhere between NDS and Brownell's or will this be an all new price structure? Don’t know because we haven’t cut any parts yet. We’ll have a better idea once we know actual run time. It’s a safe bet they will be priced lower than NDS. |
|
Quoted: Any plans to bring back other H&R products like cheap single shot shotguns and cheap .22 revolvers? I would prefer H&R to be considered a quality brand rather than a price point company. ?? How many of you own a Yildiz shotgun or an Armscor revolver? Because that’s what a modern “cheap” gun of that type looks like. Or better yet, let’s bump up the price a bit. How many here own a new Charter Arms Pathfinder? American made, great customer service, and the one I had shot 2” or less at 25 yards. |

Will you use quality lower parts kits? Will you train operators to properly drill the barrel extension hole for the alignment pin, as well as the FSB for the taper pins? All of these questions are directly related to reoccurring and consistent qc issues still coming out of the PSA facility. I have no doubt that you are quality minded, so I hope you have plans to address these issues. To explain my concerns Lpk- saggy selector switches Barrel extension- alignment pin drilled a few degrees clockwise, causing feed ramp misalignment. FSB pins- holes drilled with two different size drill bits, no taper reamer used. Causing the fsb to be able to be mounted on 2 different axis. canted, or non-canted. I've seen all of these issues as recently as 2 months ago on various product lines. I will definitely pick up a few stripped lowers from you regardless, I know that there's going to be no issues with those. |

But rest assured I have already been making my expectations know to some of the manufacturing and QC managers. |

Quoted: The FSB pins pounded in by PSA gorillas are infamous for failed removal attempts. Have a PSA heavy mid gas bbl my brother tried to remove the FSB from - he finally started Dremeling to expose the pins & still couldn't get it off. I had to use a rivet gun with a fin tip to get mine started out. Then i got oversized pins and borrowed a taper reamer from work and fixed it the correct way. Mike, this is in no way trying to bash you or even PSA. You have the ability to fix the poor qc issues of PSA. If you do it, PSA and H&R will be absolute power houses of the AR industry. |

Quoted: Ive experienced personally multiple times and several of my buddies not listening to my warnings. And if not, you should contact Josiah with your order numbers and he will get you squared away. ETA: I see your above post. Why would you not send it back instead of modifying it? |

Quoted: Well, I think we've covered every possible thread derailment path. | I am absolutely down for an H&R T48 rifle. Though as someone with a budding BRN-10 project, I would absolutely love if I could buy new H&R AR10 parts for what I currently already have rather than buy a new rifle all together (unless that new H&R rifle is [nearly] completely accurate a la one-piece handguard or something Portuguese). |

Quoted: H&R 301 in .300 Win built with an FN action I think limited edition runs in 7x57, 257 Roberts, and 6.5x55 would be sweet. Maybe even a 9.3x62. We would make the stock in a more classic style. The Weatherby influence is quite dated. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/91277/H_R_301_a-2215337.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/91277/H_R_301_b-2215338.jpg Lol. Glad to see we're not the only ones w/ pie in the sky dreams. 7x57? .257 Roberts? Are you sure you're trying to make money? Great cartridges but long since replaced in the market. |
