Alright so I think I've narrowed my choices down to Wilson combat 16" tactical lightweight with 1:7 twist for $250 or the rainier arms medcon barrel with 1:8 twist for 260 . What does everyone think? Which would you choose and why or the advantages and disadvantages of each ?

Few and far between for 300 AAC Short barrels. 16" barrels are most places.
I just bought this one yesterday after much searching. 300 10.5 black SS should be in in February I was told. MAS Defense 300 Brownells Just got to check around. |

Not really worth the money, unless you absolutely love the way they look. There are some small benefits to fluted barrels such as enhanced cooling, but they are small. Don't have a choice now. | Hey I'm doing my 1st AR build and I believe I'm gonna go with an 18" barrel with a 1:8 twist. but not sure whether to go rifle length or mid-length for gas block and on top of all of that I am having trouble finding any barrels that are that length with that twist. Does anyone know where I can get one? |
